Polycarbonate GH - need shading?

I have a polycaarbonate GH which I got last year so still a novice. Do they shade plants better than glass or should I think of puttin up some shading? I have loads of builders netting that I think would be OK if you guys think I should shade. I didnt last year and dont think anything scorched although I did loose some baby caulis this April to scorching

Polycarb will diffuse the light more than glass, but if you lost some due to scorch then I'd [watch the watering (do it early or late)] probably put some shading up.

Depends on the temp I guess as well!
