I must admit it does feel a bit on the heavy side to put straight over, but it does look like the stuff on Endymion's pics. I wish I'd thought this through because the beds where the bras are going are not square or in some cases even oblong. It's all a bit higgledy piggledy and I tend to put them in where there's space so it might be hard to erect hoops. Anyway, I'll give it some more thought. Thanks everybody.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Can squirrels get through Enviromesh - or rather do they bother? I'm sure they can get through if they want; they can bite through chicken wire after all
I'm asking as I have an ongoing battle between them and the fleece I have over my carrots. They keep tearing it to bits. I'm not sure if they just like playing with the fleece or if it's the carrots they're after. If it's the carrots, then they'd probably tear apart the Enviromesh too.

I'd better get looking for some! I've told him to send his tip into a mag, it might make him some money!Last edited by Florence Fennel; 27-06-2011, 10:38 AM.Granny on the Game in Sheffield

Forgive me for bumping, but MIL has given me a roll of very, very fine mesh that she found in her junk room, wondering if I could use it to cover the veg. It will keep out the flies of that I'm sure, but it's black, is this ok to use, or will it keep out too much light? No answers on a postcard please, I need to know asap as I think it is light (as in weight) enough to just put over without hoops.Granny on the Game in Sheffield

Give it a go Flo, I use fine black netting from the charity shop to cover my straws and they were fine.
Talking of netting I've had to uncover my brassica bed because the Kales nearly 3 foot tall I've sprayed everything with garlic hoping to put the butterflies off.Location....East Midlands.
