Looks lovely, if a tad expensive.

Polycarbonate is all very well but it is extremely light and tends to come into the "blow away" category of greenhouse.

Indeed, my friend who gave me their glass and aluminium one swapped for one of these. Made a very good box kite in the gales a few years back!

I disagree there Aberdeenplotter. Whilst it is lighter than glass, if properly secured then it should stay put. Mine is still in place with no issues after 3 years and doesn't look likely to blow anywhere soon. (mine's not as posh as the one in the picture though....)
Polycarbonate also has the advantage of being fairly football proof, which is lucky as mine shares a garden with a football mad 13 year old.

To be honest I think that was their issue, as they never had the original one anchored so I don't think they properly secured the poly one. However that was rectified once it was recovered from the neighbours garden!

I have a 8 x 6 cheaper version which is in its third year. I used silicone as extra security for the poly glazing and bolted it down to the concrete base. So far it has withstood everything the weather has thrown at it.

I did the same as Colin, above post. It has stood up too some BAD weather ie: last years winter, and some hefty gale force winds, its still in good order.Well worth the money, £175 B&Q. Size is 8x4

Thats a seriously posh expensive one lol. I got a Gardman 6x6 polycarb this year and havent had any problems so far. I doubled the w clips on it (cheap as chips on ebay), have bolted it down. It seems really sturdy and secure to me. And nice and safe with little ones around.

If you can do the extra work required to nail it down and keep the panes from popping out, they're OK

Get some good staging too, the cheap mini-greenhouse as staging tends to let you down at crucial moments

Many thanks for all your comments.
I have some money coming to me next year and am intending to Old age proof my back garden and buy a good greenhouse.. one that will last me out. Where it is going is sheltered down the bottom, south east facing but under trees so i dont want a glass roof that branches will smash (a problem now with my class g/h)
Yes, T/S good staging is vital in any greenhouse. My mate has lost several cheapo blow aways and lost plants when the plastic staging has buckled, ripping the plastic walls and letting the wind in.
You know the saying.. cheap is only cheap when you buy it.
                      Once again, many thanks ppl.

about 8 x 12 in old money... but it will be next year. I have been in one down the lotties and it was very warm and seemed well made and sturdy... i will pop down and have another look at it before i make my mind up.

I have one of these in 6X6 and the day after I fitted it in February we had a force 8 gale and it stayed put with no panes blowing out, and its been the same ever since. I'd definately recommend it.
