    I need to grow some.
    Soon.
Try looking in the VSP, there's usually enty of black toms in there - you can swap with any seeds you've saved or have spare.

    • What a great day! Cannot stop smiling like a Cheshire Cat After months of not being able to do much other than pop up weekly to check and water young plants I actually got some jobs done today.

Originally popped up to pot up my onion sets into modules as it's still way too cold and wet to put them in the ground.....and I haven't yet worked out where their bed will be this year Instead I potted up my Blackcurrant into a temporary pot until I sort out a fruit bed...planted 8 Maris Peer potatoes that I found sprouting in the kitchen cupboard into the polytunnel, split into four and potted up a London Pride plant ( I call it Hattie's plant because we got it from the vet nurse last June when we had to say goodbye to our old girl) and potted 35 wallflower plants into bigger tubs.

Forecast is good on my day off on Tuesday so I'll do my onions then.

          • Oh noooo Bad Imogen!!! Hope you get sorted soon with new glass or a cover. A couple of my panes are slightly cracked so I think I'll get Neil to sort them out this year.

            • Getting even more stuffed to the gunnels! Yesterday, 14th, I potted on a few potbound alpines and a couple of young shrubs and brought my raspberry canes into the greenhouse. I'm sure by the time I start seed sowing in earnest I'll have moved the raspberries & blackcurrant into their permanent bed and alpines and stuff can go back into the tunnel to harden off before going out properly

              • As fast as I move hardier stuff into the polytunnel I'll find something else that needs repotting or sowing or am tempted by bargains in Wilko

Had to have a shift around to make room for latest fuchsia & pelargonium plugs....really need to get the fruit bed dug this coming week just so I can get the raspberry canes in big pots into the ground....which will free up a bit of space and the need to remove them and other wintering perennials/shrubs/fruits as well as my onion sets and shallots every time I need to get into the greenhouse!

Would you pop down to mine and get me started as I've only got Fusias and Geraniums I rescued from last year in mine.

Not done anything yet mainly because I was waiting for a new 8ft shed to be delivered and 2 trees to be removed from my garden. Shed was delivered at 7:05am this morning and the tree surgeon came at 10:30am and left at 12:05, now got a big pile of chippings I've got to bag up to use down the allotment and to mulch my flower beds here.

Got 10 zillion plant pots and other gardening stuff in the back garden; garage ( 2 mowers, spades, forks, hoes and masses of other stuff) and a few new things in the lounge waiting for the shed.

Hoping to get started this week with a few things only got tatties chitting in the spare bedroom for now.
