    • My Little Glass House

      Hi All,

This is my first greenhouse and pretty much my first year growing anything. i had a very late start last year which caused me to learn quite a bit quite quickly. Hopefully this year will be more successful

        • My greenhouse was lacking a bit of light last year at the rear so I put in some of that Mylar reflective stuff against the back panes to see if it helps, seems to bit brighter.

Is the greenhouse you're building next to the barbecue going to have glass or polycarbonate?

Polycarbonate, but not planning to use the BBQ, that would be asking for trouble!
If I had my way would knock it out so can bring the greenhouse to the corner, but I we rent so alas not an option.

Sun came back, so finished off putting the frame up!

                • I still have 5 trays of seedlings in the flat, which I want to decant into the greenhouse. Really don't want to uproot the peas to make room though, they've only just started flowering!

                    • Some activity in the tunnel today - I potted on some of the chilies. But here are a couple of snaps

This is from the door - most of the left hand side are chillies. In the centre are tomato plants, with potatoes in the background - and onions beyond that. And yes, that is a bale of straw in the foreground.

The autopot system up and running

Just a table of yet more chillies

                            • Given PT bit of a clear out and starting to add some veg. Will grow most of these a bit bigger before planting out so they hopefully withstand SS (slug/snail) attacks

Got cucumber, strawberries, broccoli, squash, courgette, tomatoes and peas. Busy repotting mangetout today to go in there as well.
