Yesterday I pressure washed the GH then planted my toms in the boarder. Just need to plant the basil then find homes for the last two Toms.

I really must get on with planting my toms - I've got that many on the go it's making me drag my feet a bit .....
Shouldn't complain really, if I'd killed them off earlier in the year by putting them out in the GH while it was still going really cold at night, then I'd be having a grumble about that. Sooo, must get motivated

This is my first year of having a greenhouse on the allotment , So Im very excited about being able to grow toms etc as I don't get very much sun in the garden

Fantastic - can't have too many tomatoes IMO. Hope this is a good year for them. Last year they were really slow to ripen.

This is the view from my backdoor - no allotment or greenhouse
Potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, strawberry, black currant and rhubarb at the moment.
Oh and I forgot the runner beans are just coming up

My greenhouse has had a jolly good tidy out this past two/three days as I found a SLUG eating one of my Tigger melons The majority of beans, peas, squashes and pumpkins have now been moved to the slightly cooler polytunnel by night (and outside during day to harden them off) and it's only tomatoes, melons, cucamelons (just germinating) and other 'delicates' that are still in the greenhouse. So yesterday I completely stripped out all the surfaces (aka wooden doors as shelves ) and pulled out the various raspberry suckers, dandelions and ferns that had somehow started to grow inside. There's now nowhere for those annoying gastropods to hide! I'm thinking of growing melons etc in large pots and putting down weed suppressant membrane topped off with gravel to make it less of a 'jungle' in there. Neil will be removing the dilapidated rotten wood that makes up the shelf supports this weekend and that should open out the greenhouse lovely. Especially once I move all the spare pots and stuff back into the shed.

Pretty much everything in the greenhouse has been potted up and moved to their final positions this weekend.
Due to a dire lack of space (not at all did i sow too much :roll eyes: ) a couple of tomatoes and cucumbers have been forced to tough it outside a bit earlier than i would have liked, and a couple of peppers are going to have to spend their days on a windowsill.

Looking a bit more well stocked for June. Gardener's Delight, Shirley and tumbling tomatoes, 1 burpless cucumber (nothing as good as my parents who are already eating their first - mine is weeks behind in growth) some different squash plants, inca berries, courgettes and some flowers.



Lots of green strawberries, have already eaten a few ripe ones but not for a while so getting impatient now. And tumbling tomatoes planted in poundland baskets in plant bags to extend soil capacity.



Nice to see lots going on. Gets a bit hot in there though even with everything open - guess its the same with a greenhouse.

Here's my June update. I've created something of a monster tumbling tom - its pot stands in a tray of weak comfrey tea. You can almost see it growing...
