Blowing in the Wind

I had 3 blowaways last year, which lived up to their nickname and blew away. This year, MIL bought me a Stayput. In this very strong wind, my stayput has stayed put (it's screwed to the wall and the paving slab floor), but most of the panels up to now on one side and the front have all blown in.

What are the panels made of? My glass greenhouse is fine but the lightweight poly ones can struggle sometimes in strong winds as they're not as stiff and flex their way out so to speak.

White sealent in tube the same as you use to seal around baths/sinks should do the trick to keep them in place, and waterproof the section too.

Oh bad luck Florence. I have 2 'cheap' B&Q greenhouses which have survived the last 2 years but I am seriously not looking forward to looking out of the window tomorrow morning, with the winds we currently have and those which are on their way (so we're told )

We're not having it as bad as Scotland tonight, but my wall basket is upside down on the ground
I'm glad I took a photo before all the plants in it got smashed

My little car was being blown around the road y'day, so today I avoided the bridge & fast road, and kept to the little back roads

I think I'll be needing to heel the rasps back in ~ they were leaning at 45 degree angle this afternoon

You named that tune in 1 Alison. They are poly ones and they have been "flexed" out by the wind.

They have been put in with the white stuff Paul, ? silicone, but whether the job was bodged or not I'm not sure.

Hope yours hold out Reet. The wind seems to be dropping a bit here.

I had 2 panels blown out Flo so now every panel has 3 canes wedged across as the w clips are not good enough as the polycarb flexes. Just cut the canes a fraction wider than the panel & bend them in.

Thanks BM, but ahead of you there, already done that. My son had a look at it yesterday and he thinks the panels were cut too small. I have some spare as the back wasn't put in (it's up against the south facing gable end of my house) so he's getting some sealant and coming to see what he can do to make it weatherproof.
