  • home made greenhouse mk1

a piccy of my greenhouse i built a few years ago at home , the upvc frames i got off ebay for 99p unglazed the bottom brickwork are block pavers laid as bricks which i was given the plastic sheeting is whats used in bus shelters (the company that makes them is close by) and they let me root through there skip and take what i want . i got an allottment at the back end of april and there is already a brick base on it 20ftx12ft which is a biggy, i have just finished collecting enough frames and plastic sheeting so will be starting to build it in the next few weeks weather permitting i will be taking plenty of photos at differant stages and will start a new topic on the job as it progresses hopefully it will help some of you to build yourself a new cheap greenhouse

Great job, looking forward to seeing the allotment one. We built our own too, still have issues with a leaky roof but should have that sorted out when we empty it of tomatoes etc this year.

It does look good and with all those opening windows you'll have plenty of ventilation.

i made it with openers on all sides , i looked at a fellow allotment owners down at the allotments and all his tomatoes were rotting , he had not allowed for a single opener or vent
