    Well done.
the wood for the cold frames is roofers slate laths which are bought by the bundle from roofing merchants a lot cheaper than the diy stores

That is something to be proud of.

I think you'll have some very impressed (and envious!) fellow allotmenteers.

        Well done!

made a start on sorting out the inside and applied a render coat to two of the three walls (run out of materials) so will do the third wall next weekend its only a rough coat smoothed of with a wet sponge my thinking for doing this is it will fill up all the hidey holes where bugs and pests like to live

You have probably all ready thought of this but a coat of masonery paint would seal the render and stop it absorbing moisture when you growing in there.

                      Once again well done.

i had not thought of painting it but its a good idea , i had a word with my neigbour whos a decorator and today he brought me half a tub of white smooth masonary paint which will also help to increase light and it was free (a favour for a favour) i turned his excess grapes into a gallon of wine . thanks for the heads up colin
