  • Phase 1 !!!!

Further to my other posts of last year...... ( my greenhouse gifted me by friend)
    Here we go !!!
The greenhouse frame is up and in situ
The rubber glazing strips arrived yesterday....I've got loads of clips etc. so just have to wait until the hurricain blows itself out, and the driving rain stops...then I will think about putting the glass in !!!!!
    Really getting exciting now !!!!!!

I think this might be my greenhouse ( very amateur) and other trivia blog page!!! Do feel free to drop in !

    Nice one! Congratulations.

Make the most of the 'Smug smile' face, and get ready for it to be replaced with the 'Owwww my fingers hurt!!!' face Those clips are a real pain!

        Me wants ,

but then again it would probably have blown away, even without the glass, with the kind of winds around here.

i got a 12x8 given to me had 3 quarters of the glass with it so i put some into my lil 6x4 till i can afford to site the big 1. its a heavy duty type one not sure who built it but so happy to have it,it has stood derelict for 15 years and now its about to embark on a new life in the garden to provide us with home grown food.good luck with yours )

I would use a pair of long nosed pliers to fit the clips, both wire 'W' type and metal shim type. Cheers, Tony.

Nice size, what sort of base are you putting it on? I would suggest you decide which end you want rain to run off, then make sure there's a fall in the gutters that way, it could maybe do with more ventilation, I want to put some louvres in mine with auto openers, but they are very expensive, mines the same length but 10 foot wide, which means it's very high, which means more heating, even when it's partitioned off! so swings and roundabouts there. Looking forward to pics of phase 2, take your time, and make sure it's sitting square, or square pieces of glass won't fit in roof. Good luck, bradlo

Great Greenhouse I was given a 6x8 at the back end of last year, I managed to carry it to my full plot lottie and that's where it has sat without glass over Christmas and the new year but its still to wet up there for me to move it to where I'm going to seat it, I'll post a thread when I do, probably in February.

I look forward to seeing phase 2
