I bought gravel trays, modules and seed trays in a rather fetching blue. Why, I don't know?! Because they were there and the software (ie. bulbs, tubers, plants, etc) weren't!

      Here's hoping tomorrow

How do you know when white strawberries are ripe?

When I was in my local store 10 days ago (after I had already ordered my seed potatoes from Kings) I looked to see if they had the potato variety "Rocket" as thats what we are growing this year, as its the dead cert on our soil apparently, according to the plotters on the allotments, over the road to our house. They had a section for the other usuals like "charlotte" etc and they were full to the brim but they did also have "Rocket" and it was empty so I think I may be growing the correct variety eh! I did also notice the price was half what I paid - ah well at least I will have some - mental note get to Wilkinsons early next year
