Thanks for the link dead dogs I like the idea of a heat sink, very simple and elegant. Might try this next year.

I seem to remember Dick Strawbridge or his son making a heat sink on one of their programmes a few years ago. Don't know how well it worked though as they never seem to follow these things up properly.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Mick, You might find some ideas and links in an earlier discussion about this of interest:

The beer-can "heat generator" mentioned there is still in operation (useful today for example with below 0C temperatures tonight) though when time permits (ha!) I mean to modify it so it (and others) sit outside and feed warm air inside (currently it is just inside adjacent to the "heat sink" which is a waterbutt on bricks...). It just about seems to work.... All crops in there are also given the benefit of bubble wrap.

Bazzaboy, do you have any other details about your setup as it looks interesting. I had a look at some sites on the internet but wanted to get your opinion if it is actually worth doing ?
