  • Poly tunnel assembly

I have recently finished assembling our tunnel.
I did scratch my head a cpl of time with the spacing of the hoops and alignment.

I came up with the idea of two pieces of timber.
1x 11ft long the other 6 ft long. This is of course the tunnel is 10 ft wide and the spacing is 5ft apart..
Drill a 25mm hole 6" in from ea end of the timbers.

Use ea length of timber as a template for both the with of your tunnel and distance apart.
The paperwork says get the framework as sq as possible. If you use both timbers together and at right angles when you come to check the squareness its bang on.

I used 3x1 timber. If you place the timber on flat ground and drive the tubes into the ground through the holes the tube protrusion is just the right height..flush with the top of the timber.

When you come to fix the hoop centre bar it is exactly the right length.

When you assemble the hoops, make sure you lay them flat on the floor as it is difficult
to keep them straight when they are in the the ground guide tubes and standing up.

Good luck, this product is excellent. It does not move in the strongest of gales.
Use the extra strain bars that are available as an extra option.
