I have a 6' x 6' greenhouse and have cramed far too much in there in the past. The first year I had it I squeezed in 10 tomatoes, 5 peppers and 5 chillies plus a cucumber and a couple of aubergines. It was crowded but acutally not as bad as it sounds. These days I grow majority of my toms in the polytunnel at the lottie but I'm quite comfortable growing about 10 cordons in that space - if you're growing bush type you'll need to decrease. You can increase the number by putting tumbling types in a hanging basket in the middle as well.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

All, thanks for your responses, all very helpful and hopefully will help me avoid learning the hard way!
Grow bags are now out of the window based on comments above and i'll give the morrisons buckets ago.
VirginVegGrower - thanks for the heads up, it's best to assume nothing with me I find - there's every chance i would have gone to morrisons to try and pick some up!! sounds like my local florists is a far bet for those?
thanks again

Ian you can buy them from Morrisons but if you have a local florists like you say, you might just get them for nothing.

5ltr is just over half as big as a standard house hold bucket. You could just about get away with it but remember the smaller the container the more difficult the watering. The smaller Morrisons buckets are about 7ltrs so they give you that little bit of leeway.
A sure way to blossom end rot or split toms is eratic watering whilst there is fruit on the vine.
