I've now put down the anti weed membrane and bought 10 bags of cheap gravel...it must have come straight from the estuary as it was covered in mud, so had to put it all through the outdoor washing machine ( cement mixer!) to clean it off !!!
I think I have to go and buy another 5 bags to complete the job!

What I've done in my greenhouses, which are all on slabs or concrete is make a mini raised bed along the side. Just a plank really about 2' away from the glass. Lined the bed with weedproof membrane and filled it with compost. Its ideal for growing salads, you can sit bottomless tomato pots into it and just water the soil and, to my mind, its a lt easier to manage than just gravel.

If we get flooded you really have to start worrying as we are half way up a Welsh hillside!!!!!!

I've still got to anchor my new (to me) greenhouse down on lottie before putting glass in. I'm doing raised beds with a small path down the centre.
