We sowed broad beans, lettuce, leeks amongst other thigns last Friday and today - the lettuces, leeks and other salady things have germinated. They have been in a polytunnel in Coventry and we hadn't even watered them.

My office windowsill is full of leeks, toms and chillies. Really, I should move the leeks to the unheated GH as it's plenty warm enough there for them, but as I'm not getting out to it easily at the moment they stand a better chance of the occasional watering inside.

What did you do before you had a greenhouse? Did you start any seeds of indoors? If you did, you can do it again now! I've just sown a boxful of broad beans in the greenhouse and there are baby seedlings of
beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes and I've forgotten what else, in the GH!
Give it a go, its March tomorrow and its going to be a busy month!

like the others have said, there are things you can sow,my beet in modules is up,so are leeks, broadies, onion seeds, lavener, collie, lettuce, aubergines, some peppers, little strawberries, sweetpeas, plus other bits and bobs, mind you,it is double glazed, and have large clotches over the more delicate things, and net over others to keep the mice niblers of,they was in there when it snowed,on very cold nights i put bubble wrap over the clotches as well, everythings doing well,

                    Watched the telly V C !!!
What people fail to grasp is my (up to this point) total idleness & complete lack of interest in gardening!!!! We have reasonable sized garden & manage to grow quite a healthy crop of nettles and brambles virtually every year...But that's where it ends!!!
The G H is my first gentle foray into the noble art...and on the plus side...I don't have to do any digging!!!!!!!!!

You could watch telly in the GH but you may need shading on the windows - then nobody would know that you didn't have anything growing in it either. You can rely on me not to tell!!
