Polytunnel on a slight slope

I'm getting an area of ground ready for a polytunnel, it's on a slight slope and I've got a chap with a digger coming in on Saturday to level it for me. I'm going for a 12ft or 14ft x 30ft tunnel and one long side needs to be 'shored up' to prevent the soil from slipping. I'm thinking along the lines of old sleepers, scaffold boards, etc. Can anyone suggest what may work best or give me some ideas?

Amanda, my 25ft tunnel is on a double slope, i.e it slopes south to north but also east to west. The South North is almost 1:8 so quite steep. I haven't levelled the ground and it's been there since 2003

We are on a major North/South slope and just stuck the tunnel straight across, on the slope. My tunnel is 14 x 20. The beds inside are raised and they are level across their width but the ones on the top side are higher than the ones on the bottom. I had to have my tunnel cover buried in the ground because we are so exposed to wind. There is no way we could have levelled across the site without ridiculous expense due to the limited depth of soil before you start hitting enormous rocks.

Have you talked to you tunnel supplier? Ours were local, knew where I was talking about and could say I didn't need to bother about the degree of slope.
