  • Greenhouse Door runner help

    Hi Guys

My greenhouse is second hand and as such I don't know what brand the greenhouse is. This morning the runner on the door has broken.

I have tried ebaying but can't find the right piece.

The base under the wheel screws into the door.

Does anyone know what the piece is called or where I might be able to get one from?

This is a photo that was taken this morning.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I read it to be the metal piece that supports the door wheels. If so, have a look at these instructions. I think it is called the door runner. The company may be able to help . Good Luck

I'm sure you're right BM as it was way too simple to find a couple of wheely things!
Just looked at my greenhouse but the door hangs from the top runner on wheels. There doesn't seem to be anything at the bottom apart from a metal track that the door slides in. I'm not taking the door off to find out!

              Hi

I should have explained a bit clearer. The plastic bit in the picture is secured to te top
              Of the door.

The plastic bit then sits in the metal runner on the greenhouse. I need a new plastic bit to replace the one that's broken.

Thanks for the links so far but alas I'm still ar a dead end.

By chance I have a spare door wheel as I replaced the ones on this 2nd hand GH after one broke when it was being rebuilt.
The photos show the wheel assembly and the bolt that fixes it to the door: the smaller plastic bit is the inner "axle". The other photo is the only sign of the wheel fixing on the outside of the GH.
Does your GH look like this?

It's a bit like the TV programme where you had to guess the object. Mine are the same as yours but totally different to Russells.

Know what you mean . I have 3 greenhouses and to the best of my memory they're all like this! If there are boltholes on the door like the photo, I'm sure these wheels would work on most GH. The only issue may be the diameter?

                        Hi

As promised - a photo of the clip in situ at the other end of thr door. And a photo of the green house.

The clip photo is side on....

I am struggling to even find a replacement part let alone another website/place that sells them.

                        Thanks

Thanks BM, I've been looking at it sideways on too - (too dense to edit it!).
Not seen anything like that before in all my years - can't find it on t'web either.
Hope someone on here recognises it - and has a spare!!

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure hopw to edit it.

On the topic - if I can't find a replacement, has anyone got any good ideas on how to replace it or fit a new greenhouse door?

                              :-)
