Here's my list , whats going in your poly or greenhouse this year ?

Tomatoes, basil and marigolds (french & pot) will be going in mine. Oh, and the 1 aub I have. It's the LAST LAST LAST time I'm growing aubergines.

Poly:-

Currently have spuds (can get them in 6 to 8 weeks earlier than outside), broadies (3 variaties), peas, spinage, carrots, beetroot, cabbage, pak chou, lettuce and radishes. Also have Brussles in pots, some for outside some for in poly. Strawberries are in hanging baskets, while the patio plum and cherry trees are in large pots.
Later I will plant cucumbers and courgettes, along with more of most of the above.

Greenhouse:-
Currently have over wintered garlic, onions, carrots. Early sowing of peas, lettuce and leeks. Next month I will move some of my toms and chillies in and my be a cucumber.

Tomatoes, peppers and cukes are grown in mine, nothing else.

Mines the same list apart from one aubergine but just now they're only spending the day time in the greenhouse its back into the house for overnight.

I go for a few early crops of pak choi and komatsuna until June then, toms, cukes, aubergines, chillies, peppers, also try things like Siamese watercress and Thai basil with medium success, need to grow lots of it though as doesn't last long in my house.

I've left my aub in my GH since it germinated. This year I've gone with the "I don't care, i'm never growing you gits again" view. If it fruits, happy days - if it doesn't - it's a bit of greenery for the compost.

Going to give melons another go - all I got last time was triffid-like foliage, not even a flower!
Also going to try sweet potatoes - I'm buying plants, not slips though. Did have a go with these last year, but we had a bad rat infestation and they got nibbled to b*ggery.

I was thinking about putting in potatoes and carrots for a winter/christmas crop as well...

I might put courgettes in, although last year, they went mental - I thought they might get up and walk off, they got that big!!

In my polytunnel at the moment I have early potatoes, spring cabbage, early caulis, pak choi, lettuce, calabrase, carrots (only sown a few weeks ago), dwarf peas, dwarf mange tout, a few early broad beans, overwintered chard, spinach and spring onions. In the summer I'll have sweet potatoes, tomatoes (loads), peppers (sweet and hot), aubergines, cucumbers and some herbs. Probably something else too but can't remember at the moment. There are rarely any spare beds and I'm often needing to pull something out to plant the new thing which can be a difficult balance. I also have a greenhouse at home which is used for bringing things on and giving extra shelter but I only use pots in there rather than the lovely big beds I have in the lottie tunnel

I kept some space free behind my tunnel doors for storage, and I've stuck a couple of blowaway frames in behind the doors, giving me extra space for pots etc..

They are brill for bringing things on, and providing extra space :-)

In my polytunnel I have garlic, onions, broad beans, potatoes, carrots (in pots), lettuce, beetroot, strawberries, runner beans, sugar snap peas, butternut squash and cabbage accompanied by one carnivorous plant. Still in the house to come outside if it ever gets warmer at night, tomatos, crown prince squash, sweet lightning squash, watermelon (variety supposedly for the british climate), courgette and sweetcorn

Also the aubergine challenge, variety - striped toga (optimistically!!), my friend bought some seeds from Ebay and it's a challenge to see who can grow them better (she has a new tunnel) We're still waiting on some others from China that should grow fruits that look like eggs

Things I'm not doing this year, melon and spring onions because they were both hopeless last year and also leeks (they looked more like spring onions)
I have also decided to do a short variety of carrots only in pots because we just don't have the correct soil for nice long ones!

Dunno why you have a problem with them ...........says she who can't grow a radish or spring onion

Hi Choccy, are your toms, peppers and cukes alright in the GH? Reason I ask is I've potted them on into bigger pots now so am running out of windowsill space, so would quite like to move them all to the shelving in the polytunnel, but was worried it night still be a bit nippy at night, especially for the cukes.

I haven't had a problem at all & they have been there since seed, toms are doing really well. I know it's been cold at night & I was worried my seedlings may be damaged but so far so good.
I have cheated with new chilli & pepper seeds by letting them germinate in the airing cupboard. My first lot took a month to come through but these have taken a few days, amazing!!
I'm no expert but if you are to move your toms into the GH then do it in the morning of a nice day so it's not such a shock to them.

Get some cheap fleece from the pound shop (costs a pound..) and drape it over them ........they won't mind

I grew one aubergine plant last year, and I got a few very tasty aubergines off it, it was a grafted plant from b&q it was very prolific, maybe you should try one?

I was sorting out a few chilli plants for a mate today and discovered I have 20 Aubs .......hope they all fruit
