  • Summer houses?

Does anyone have any experience of buying a summerhouse? I am tempted, but not sure if I would use it if I had one. I have plenty of space for one and have visions of sitting in the evening sun, glass of wine, looking at my border. But would I? And probably not this summer!

Summerhouses come in all shapes and sizes. My house came with one - large enough to use as a spare bedroom. However, I rarely use it to sit in, watching the sunset, unless its a bit breezy out. The covered bit at the front is great for drying washing though!!

We have one that also came with the house, nothing as glamourous as VC though

We are giving it to a friend so we can put a nice patio set there with a nice BBQ too.

I personally don't see the point but they are beautiful, it really depends on whether you would actually use it or not.

If you are not sure, see if you can pick a second hand one up so you won't be wasting your money.

Wow - I could move into VC's summer house - It's nicer than my real house!

I love spending time outside. I spend a lot of time on the deck (with the glass of wine and a couple of kelpie's) and have a table and chairs out the front and the back yard. I guess I'd just go for a 3 sided thiing tho more like a pergola. Because I just like being outside - but the 3 sides cut the wind down.

My son is very keen to grow some bamboo so it will be like a living wall. I'll let you know how it goes when it warms up enough to grow a couple of walls.
