This is fantastic - feeling more on top of options now and think I'm going for a Bren Greenfingers special...anyone know if they're an OK company, i.e. it won't disintegrate immediately?
Thank you all v much. Veggie, yes I'd love one of those but will just be too visible and mocked by family members...thanks though

The tragedy continueth...I bought one from a Well Known Company mentioned in this thread. Surprisingly cheap, sounded good, arrived and was disappointingly flimsy...and within less than a week the polycarbonate had flopped out of the pathetically made lid! On the plus side, I made a huge fuss and they've refunded me, BUT...back to sq. 1. GAH!
so...grapes, am at yr mercy. Please tell me where you buy yr gardening hardware - Harrod Horticultural? Crocus, though ridic expensive? - when you want something good quality.
              Thanking you (doffs cap)
