  • Polytunnel crop rotation plan - you got one?

Has anyone gone as far as drawing up a cropping plan for a year in a polytunnel?

Our polytunnel is now up AND operational more so than last year. We are determined to maximise our crops this year so would welcome any Word or Excel plans to point us in the right direction.

Don't have a PT ... Yet!! But why not use the space between the hoops as a bed and rotate your crops like that. I know it's a bit atrbitory but you have to start somewhere.

Don't grow Tatties in the same space as your Toms either as they are the same family,

CC - some of us did this with Excel earlier in the year, but I can't seem to find the thread now - I'll keep looking.
I also drew up a crop rotation plan for the polytunnel using the usual crop rotation principles and as NTG suggests a good start is the area between each hoop. Mine is a bit difficult as I have a combination of dug and raised beds, but as long as you do crop rotate and feed the soil well you should be alright. I drew mine up using word - just labelled boxes. Its on a thread somewhere! but can't that one either!

I would imagine the simplest crop rotation plan for a polytunnel is a three year regime (Brassicas,Legumes and everything else), using the two sides and the end as the three individual beds?

And this is the link to the spreadsheet thread, but scroll down to Supersprouts post which explains a superb way of setting up a plan:
