  • Few piccies from my greenhouses this morning.....

First one is some of my onions which are storing well.

Second one is my collapsible bench set up and ready for the onslaught of seed sowing in the new year.

The one below is of my garlic, which I am particularily pleased with. As soon as the toms came out the bed was turned over and given a light dressing of fertiliser. It was then planted up with Garlic from shop bought garlic that I started in modules.
It has romped away ever since and made good stong plants which i have high hopes for.

Wishing you all a Happy Gardening New Year!

I grew it in large pots in the greenhouse last year over winter but found that when I moved it out in late spring it suffered badly and I couldn't keep the pots watered enough. I still had decent garlic, but not as good as I hope this will be.
This way, I'm hoping, it won't go short of water and will stay where it is until its ready to lift, even if it means planting my toms in among it.A bit of an experiment on my behalf, thats all.

A case of garlic envy here.

Thanks for the pics though, they've encouraged me to get going.

I like the pictures. I have planted garlic in my tunnel for the first time this winter but they are not doing as well as yours

My garlic is planted outside and seems to be a lot slower to get going than last year..... went in a couple of days earlier this year too....

Planted mine the end of November. I planted them 4 to a large deep bucket and have 4 buckets. Not a hugh ammount but they are up and doing well. I have them in the greenhouse at the moment as I did'nt want them to rot with too much rain.

Great idea with the garlic, I bet it will help keep the pest away from your tomato's aswell
