  • Rocket and Mizuna were running to seed too quickly to keep picking so ate the last yesterday and turfed them out. Planting chillies, toms and aubergines as gaps become available.

    • Today was quite busy I sowed a tray of sweet pea for next year into toilet roll pots. I also picked the last of my cherry tomatoes in the greenhouse and they ripened up nicely and then composted the plants.

I also put weed suppressing membrane down on my new strawberry raised bed to keep weeds down and cats from making deposits and covered with netting to keep birds off.

        • Planted some silverbeet and tomato seeds for my windowsill salad experiment and gave the outside seedlings a feed of seaweed extract and fertiliser.

Thanks. Quite pleased with them. I have used wood that I had in scavenged from pallets and n old decking and lined in the inside with plastic on the inside to extend the life of the wood.
