Going to measure the space again tomorrow - if I can twist his arm for a 6x10 I will

As to staging, I to was horrified at the price. Being shall we say careful with pennies I bought a couple of collapsible plastic saw horses and some timber planking, whole bag of mashings for less than £30 and of course it can be used as a bench elsewhere when not in the green house.

I have a wooden potting bench that looks as if it could be knocked up from pallets! I didn't have to because it came from my neighbour, along with his 10x8 GH

Not fair! I've put a 'wanted' out on good ol' Freecycle, but I don't have much hope! I'm sure I could knock something together myself, but I don't think DH trusts me enough to do it!

I don't use even a nail just lay the planks between the saw horses, packs away very easily and when in use gives me a 6ft x 2 ft bench.

It was a no on the 10x8, but I'm very grateful for my 8x6 that has now been ordered!! I'm so excited I can explode :-). Had a wonderful day today - been in the garden since 7:30 and is now thoroughly knackered!! Now sitting on the sofa with a cuppa and making a list of all the planting that needs doing. Got plants and beginnings of plants hidden everywhere in the conservatory that he hasn't seen yet, thank goodness . Also managed to beg myself some staging from someone who is clearing out their grandmothers house, and a cloche got chucked in too! What a brilliant day

It says 3-5 weeks . I'm hoping they are just saying that, and that it will be a bit quicker! Mind you, two plum trees needs to go first to make the space!

We were given an estimate of four weeks for ours (The Greenhouse People); and it's coming on Friday, so two weeks earlier than I expected. I'm also looking for staging. We have some but it's pretty rough now and needs replacing. I'd be happy with planks and a homemade set-up, but Mr R wants something a bit more refined, what with the New Greenhouse and all...

I find planks help with keeping things warm too. My paraffin heater goes below the bench warming the wood on which my pots sit. The rest of the GH may not be to warm but the pots on the bench stay lovely and cosy.
