  • fixings for shading

I am thinking of putting shading up inside my greenhouse.

But am unsure of a suitable method to fix it.

    Would these do the job?

You could always use the paint on greenhouse shading. No fixings needed.

yes it is an alluminium polycarb greenhouse.

I like the idea of the green shading material because I can easily remove it and re fit it if required.

        Thanks for the help!

I use those clips to attach the bubblewrap. The debris netting just gets thrown over the roof.

I was thinking of that actually.

How do you weight it down though, when thrown on top?

Bulldog clips or as BB says, clothes pegs.

I've threaded old fashioned curtain wire through my shading then it hooks into the aluminium ridge ends, then I've done the same at the bottom.

Me being tight I use spare fleece after the frost has gone and sticky tape.

I used to have an old net curtain with a bamboo cane threaded through the top of it. I'd wave the thing like a flag and put the cane alongside the ridge with the curtain hanging down over the roof - pegging the bottom to the guttering. It used to look very twee

Mine wasn't long enough to reach the ground so I had a scalloped edge hanging over the eaves

                            ok great,

And do net curtains still allow sufficent light/sun to enter the greenhouse?

It will allow the light, it will reduce the intense heat that we hopefully will get this year.
