There's a white mould appearing in my propogator, I planted stuff in it over two weeks ago and lettuce is the only thing that came up yet. The spring onions, red onions and leeks haven't done anything.

What temperature is the propagator set at? Onions germinate best at 18ºC/65ºF. At that temperature they should germinate in approximately 10 days. At lower temperatures it will take longer and you may find the germination rate is much lower as well.
It's not a snazzy one, just a tray with a plastic cover I got in the garden centre so I can't set a temperature. It's as warm as the conservatory and at this time of year that can be very cold.
Ok, here's the deal. Pop your propagator into the airing cupboard, but check every day and take it out as soon as you see signs of growth and then put it into full light. Cold wet compost and mould kind of go together.
