    Hi.

Judging by the site below, it seems to be a rectangle.
btw..do you have any contact with them?
apparently they sell greenhouse plans, that are easy to use.

Not sure why we'd 'have any contact with them' - they're an American site, we're based in the UK...

I have an 8ft by 12ft greenhouse which is about 8ft high at the peak and I use the old horse style, benches on all 3 sides and a potting bench next to the door.
A couple of the benches don't have a bottom shelf so I can plant under them directly into the ground, and they still get enough light. I mainly do my chilli peppers there and tomato's above them.

3 sides - the sides without the door in it.#

            Stumped by horse style though.

On building sites you get a pair of horses & lay planks on them to make movable/temporary benches, horse in this instance being......

If you mean 'usable' to include making the best use of natural light and heat, I'd take a look at various solar greenhouse designs on the Internet. For example, with a steeply sloping glass or polycarbonate panel on the south side, you can make better use of winter light and warmth from the sun, and by providing a rear vertical wall with some kind of heat storage, like a series of water tubs, you can keep the place warm on all but the worst days. So if you are intending to build your own, and want something you can use all year round, look at some of these designs. http://extension.arizona.edu/sites/e...ousedesign.pdf

I've just started building one rather like the one with the steep sloping polycarbonate panels, but having a shallow sloping opaque rear roof it gives you more space.

For many years, since I first saw them at the Hampton Court show, I've hankered after a dome greenhouse, something like these: Solardome | glasshouse dome

You get maximum light because the sun is always square on to some of it; you don't waste a lot of ground with a path because it only needs to go from edge to middle.

When I move somewhere with more space I intend to have a go at building one (I don't think I'll ever have the money to buy a ready made one at those prices!).
