Hi, going to try some socratees cucumbers for the first time this year, I was just wondering what to use in the pots as supposedly they need a lot of feeding.I have a ready supply of horse manure would this be ok and what kind of proportions?..
    Many thanks,

No, don't put manure in the pots. Multipurpose compost is fine. Feeding is best done with liquid fertilizer.

Yep a regular weekly feed with tomorite will do a good job, or alternative organic option such as comfrey or seaweed. I only do it when I remember which is not always weekly. Tho last year I did try to make a routine of feeding every sunday which helped.

When the flowers have formed. It's high in potash - which it what you need for flowering (-> fruit production).
