Greenhouse floor, soil or solid?

Only just found this post now Redser. I have slabs and container grown plants in mine for the last 20 years or there about.
My dad was an avid gardener and used the border soil, but after many years the soil became depleted and needed to be replaced.
By this time my dad had got too old to replace the soiol.
He always said to me to grow in containers.

Redser here's a couple of photos of the inside of my GH I grow in the border because it means if we go away for the weekend I don't have to ask anyone to do the watering.

Sorry Bren, just saw your reply, a MONTH later! Thanks a million for the photos. I have the site cleared now and have slabs. BUt still undecided. I might go with slabs to start with and pull them up later if I change my mind.

Cheers bramble. Another interesting perspective. Like I said to Bren, I think I'll try slabs and see if it works for me. If I screw up with the watering I can change it later and work the soil underneath.
