Hi, i have a Harlequin squash plant in a plastic barrel, its about the size of a normal courgette plant, and doesn't appear to have a trailing habit. There's two fruits on it, one that's just started and one about the size of a tennis ball. What i want to know is, will it do better if i bring it into the polytunnel? Maybe it'll have a few more weeks to reach maturity before the frosts arrive that way?

Im a novice here but judging by your plant it sounds as though you better off leaving it where it is, cos its thriving nicely and obviously happy x. I made a mistake of moving one of my plants too early thinking it was better off and the germination slowed down. Don't forget the weather is still warm so it should be fine.
Hope ive helped in some novice way.Be kind , for everyone you meet is fighting their battle too.

I've been chuckling too Wendy - but for me it was the drought of '76.
