Feel good tunnels

Hi all
Anyone got one of these?? What do you think of it?? Reading else where they appear to get good feed back. I know there not like the ones from first tunnels or northern poly tunnels. Will the green cover effect growing conditions??

I've got one of these, but 'fraid I can tell you how good it is yet as I'm planning on putting it up on the plot tomorrow. (weather & kids permitting).

My plan (so far) is to trench in the bottoms of the cover and also to 4 or 6 drive 40-50cm long wooden stakes into the ground around the edges and attach the bottom of the frame to these. I also got some of the screw-into-the-ground peg things but compared to the wooden stakes I dont expect them to do much. Any heavy objects I can find (bags of compost etc) will also go on the ground bars.

Its taken a reasonable amount of self-discipline not to head to the allotment evenings this week and attempt to put it up in hour-long stretches but to wait till I've got (hopefully) a few hours and more helping hands.

These appear to be the exact same ones sold on ebay by one particular seller - in fact i ordered mine via ebay and feelgood is printed on the box (I seem to remember the link between the two is obvious from the listing or some googling anyway).

Anyway, having put mine up today, I'm (so far) quite happy with the choice. So, this is the more expensive end of the 'blow away' category of polys but I think it's worth the extra.

Observations so far:
- the frame is individual alu tube parts that slot together (reminded me of my parents' sturdy 40+ yr old tent frame)
- all junctions/connections are nut & bolt - no plus-shaped welded bits - so seems less likely to break
- no plastic connectors (I've had small 4-shelf type things with these and the plastic bits break)
- the frame *feels* reasonably solid (so far)
- the cover is nice and tight over the frame (possibly more so as I've used anti-hot-spot tape)
- it feels solid enough that I'd have no reservations hanging a few baskets from the roof of the frame
- only 2 niggles, both minor:
1) - there's only 2 corner braces (which help keep the structure. 4 (one for each corner) would feel nicer - though I've no evidence that would actually be better
2) - the front & read ground rails have a swage-with-button connection (not nut &bolt) and the button is dead-centre, which doesn't seem ideal in the front door.

I wish I had gone for the 25mm frame but apart from that I think they are good value for money. More timber braces can be added to the frame if you think it necessary.

All in all good reviews. I think they come with 25mm standard tubes now. Reading elsewhere they tend to support the frame using 3x3 post sunk halfway, maybe 4 either side and the frame attached to this. Also do away with the roll up door and build in a frame and door. Cover usually lasts a couple of years then replaced with a conventional poly cover

As soon as I'd got my PT up last weekend, I bashed in 4 x 80cm long stakes just inside the 4 corners. Each one goes down around 50cm below ground and the tops attached to the frame by either several wraps of duck tape or a zip tie through a hold in the top of the stake (I'll do both on all next time I'm down there). This is on top of having trenched in the sides by around 15cm/6 inches.

I'm intending to add gutters, slightly self standing on external posts - If I can use that to further anchor the frame then great.

From a year or so of reading I hope also add a timber door - but will again use that as an opportunity to try to tether the PT yet more.

The 25mm frame -- as well as being (presumably) stronger than 19mm also benefits in the accessories from people like first tunnels look like they should fit -- thinking of getting grow bars to add to the roof.
