Hi everyone, This is my first post and very much a novice so go easy on me . I have just acquired a greenhouse from a neighbour who sadly passed away. The problem I've got is the door just flaps about and can be pulled out wards when closed. It also doesn't seem to open properly and have to sort of pull it out wards to open it as it jams and doesn't open if you try running it along the metal type runnerat the bottom. It doesn't have a brand name anyway so am unable to find any info anywhere. I have attached 2 photos 1 of the door closed so you can see how much it sits away from the frame, the other is a part which we couldn't find anywhere that it should go, is this anything to do with the door ? We have asked the deceased neighbours partner, but she had nothing to do to with the gardening side of things so couldn't be any help unfortunately.

Hi & welcome to the vine. Most GH doors have wheels on the top which slide on a track & some kind of pegs on the bottom which also slide in or on a track. The 2nd pic looks like it should fit over the top of the door.Last edited by Bigmallly; 17-06-2014, 03:39 PM.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Thanks for the warm welcome. Thanks for the replies. I have attached a photo of the top of the door, it's 2 wheels that run along a runner. I have looked on the bottom of the door and frame and there doesn't appear to be any hole or marks where any wheels or such have been or can go. I'm puzzled.Attached Files

Hard to describe but here goes.
In photo one - do you see there is a channel running along the bottom of the front of the greenhouse. My thoughts are that the bottom of the door will run along this. That is how mine works. There are two wheels at the top of the door, but at the bottom, the lip of this channel stops the door moving outwards. You need to slide your door back off the top rail, then reinsert it, being careful to make sure you also slide the bottom of the door onto the channel lip.
Perhaps I'm wrong but that's what struck me from looking at it.

As Red says, take the door off the top rail. If the door itself does not fit on the bottom rail it may have small pegs that fit on it, try and have a look under the door, it will give you a better idea. The bottom should be fitted first then the top wheels slide onto the rail. This may or may not help:

I'm with redser too.
On mine the bottom of the door has a small rebate all the way across. We often have to lift the door a little to relocate it onto/into the channel at the bottom. On mine the rebate would sit on the bit that I have marked in your pic.
