I've a Halls Popular Greenhouse which has been in situ about 30 years. My dad had to replace the plastic downpipe connector and stop end connections a few times and now they need replaced again as they don't tolerate being moved or taken apart (eg to clean out gutter and water barrel) , the weight of birds or it seems UV exposure.
£7 to £14 for a piece of plastic tat that isn't fit for purpose is outrageous
Anyone know of aftermarket downpipe connections which are a bit more robust? Preferably aluminium. I might need to fold and rivet something up when I find a bit of scrap aluminium sheet
Do any of the more expensive brands of greenhouse use industry standard guttering? I think that might be a factor in my choice of next greenhouse
