In the winter you really shouldn't need much if you aren't over watering. Every tunnel will be different, I just don't feel anyone can give you a definitive answer much as we all want to help.

Like I said, try it for a season and then make adjustments. Water to how dry the soil is - if the top 3cm is dry, water but water the individual plants as much as possible. If you can check the tunnel daily then you can really run to the dry side for most plants. For tomatoes use the buried bottle method and give lots of water but below soil surface:- reduce humidity - discourage blight. If you grow cucumbers use the bottle method but spray them with water as they like humidity (grow them in your most humid corner) or grow them in a "pile" on the ground and water just that area of ground. I'm afraid it's a learning process that never stops which is why so many of us love gardening.

I actually make a double one where the bottom one is just a short funnel and the one above has the lid on with one or two holes in it so the water drips through over the day but I can't find any pictures of this - I'll have to make some - there used to be lots on the net. I think this encourages the roots to keep growing and searching for their own water but no idea if that's the case!

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
