  • Which is the best cover for a polytunnel?

    Hello,

I intend recovering my home made tunnel early next year, I'd like any advice on which sort to use and where to get it?

My tunnel is approx 30 foot by 12, the hoops are yellow gas pipe(I think 63mm outer Diameter, it fits snuggly of scaffold tubes) spaced about 5.5 feet apart.

I will probably bury the edges of the sheet to hold it down.

I will be using it for different plants/seedlings but predominantly for growing tomatoes.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks, Dave

I would buy proper UV stabilised horticultural polythene from somewhere like First Tunnels.

The best you can afford and it must be UV stable.

Yup and get one with anti drip coating as well, make sure it goes on the right way though as only one side is anti drip. It really helps I find.

Thanks, I'd never even heard of "anti drip coating", that does sound like a something I would want,
