  • What to clean greenhouse with?

    Hi guys

Just planning ahead, I need to give my greenhouse a spring clean, the glass has got a bit of a green colour on it from slight mould/algae

What product/s do folks use to scrub and clean the glass with?

    Thanks

I clean mine with ***** fluid mixed to the strength it recommends on the tin. I try to pick a sunny day when it will dry off quickly.

Yup, bleach or J£y£s fluid for me. I tried Citrox and it smelt luverly, but had bad Botrytis the summer after I used it. May have been co incidence, but I went back to the old favourites just in case lol

If the greenhouse is empty, a power washer is as good as anything for getting in the nooks & crannies.

I dont think ***** needs to be censored unless your actually promoting them and have a connection ?.
I normally use ***** or an antiseptic wash i get in buyology the name of which has totally left my mind lol, think theres a sword or machette involved.
Soak everywher with it then like Mal says, pressure wash it and job done.

Oooo, i see wht you mean now lol, it actually is

Personally I wouldn't consider either, but more likely to use a less toxic cleaner, if any at all. Hot water usually does the trick

I use water and elbow grease, or vinegar + baking soda.
Ammonia is non-toxic for plants and dissolves slugs but I never used it. I think i'm going to buy some this year. (I say that every year.)

Soap and water and elbow grease. As I don’t have a green house anymore, a poly tunnel, I add some fabric softener to the water which I am told helps to keep the plastic supple.
