Gaps in greenhouse frame?

I'm a novice gardener and last week bought a PC greenhouse from b and q in a closing down sale for £20. I have built it but have noticed some gaps in the corners, by the vent and the door. Please see attached images.

My question is: is this normal? Should I try and fill the gaps? My greenhouse feels like it's not retaining any heat at the moment, and it feels like there is no difference in temp in and out during day or night..

What are your thoughts?

Hi Matty, yes you can get gaps in this type of greenhouse, you can add extra sealant if you are not happy with it, personally I would just live with it. Sorry, I can't make out what pic 3 is.

Picture 3 is the window/vent which when closed has a slight gap along its edge, a couple of mm. I would like to grow cucumbers, tomatoes and potentially a chilli plant inside. Given this information, would it be better to seal it up more? I'm going to stuff some cloth in the corners and lean something with a bit of weight against door and window and monitor the effects while I wait for my min and max thermometers to turn up

It should be fine, it's too cold to be growing Toms, Chillis & Cucs in at the mo but when the time is right it will be good to go.

You'll be glad of the ventilation in summer but meantime why don't you line it with bubble wrap

I have 2 PC greenhouses, and as others have said, it will be fine to grow those in the (hopefully) hotter summer weather....
......and as AP said, you may be grateful of that ventilation when we get the scorcher of a summer I am expecting (disclaimer..I am not a physic )

I've already put an order in for a hot summer Planning on trying melons this year so I want them, and my pumpkins, ripened!

You won't see much difference between indoor and outdoor temps at this time of year - all it's doing is taking the wind chill factor out of the equation. It's not until it's sunny for long periods that you'll notice the 'greenhouse effect'. And then, as others have said, you might be glad of the gaps! But yes, i would block any gaps as best you can for maximum effectiveness.

It was -3.3C last night in my greenhouse - but it is 23C in there, right now, cos the sun is shining!

I used silicone when I put my greenhouse together, closing all the joints up. The window leaked, so I added another strip of rubber glazing seal to the edges
