      I hope my £50 from B&Q does not need quite as much Heath Robinson modifications, if it does you can come over and help me Balders.. Hopefully the extra £30 is the door

        CG, that's a brilliant idea - a moat right around the GH which would stop slugs unless they could use the remote to lower the drawbridge. The moat water could be used to irrigate the GH, drop in some comfrey and nettles to turn it into fertiliser and the stench would keep away any 2 legged pests

          Yes, VC - then Baldy could pour burning oil or drop rocks on any rogue SAS type slugs/snails that managed to slime their way through the moat .......

              A moat would keep slugs out so I'd go for that idea.
