I've had a go at melons quite a few times now. I can't say that I've always had success.
In the greenhouse it seems that, whilst its often nice and hot, the melons don't like to romp-away under my guidance.
I like to give them as much support as I can - keep it quite moist (at least when I'm not working away - quite what happens when Mrs Balders is left in charge I wouldn't like to say).
I've got 3 good sized melon plants at the moment - they're constrained in 5 inch pots at the moment - 4 or 5 leaves on them and about 7 or 8 inches high.
What is the key to get big melons / any melons. How much attention do they need?
