Winter Veg in the Polytunnel

Hi all,

Just wondering what you will all be growing in the greenhouse or tunnel during the winter months?
I tend to just do Asian leaves like Pak Choi and Komatsuna, but looking to make better use of the space, so looking for pointers.

Think I'll try spring onions, turnips, carrots, lettuce and maybe a few dwarf beans

Lettuce and use the rest of the space to get ready for spring starts.
I have a 6x6ft greenhouse with a potting bench/staging on one side and I put a blow away at the end for double insulated shelving to start real early seeds.

I mainly grow lettuce. I split up the "living salads" from Lidl or wherever this gives a good healthy plant to start from.

For the first time this year I've grown a courgette plant in the polytunnel and I'll be interested to know how long it goes on cropping. There's no sign of mildew on it (yet). I also use the space to keep physalis plants out of the worst of the weather.

I'm just starting pots of carrots, turnips and beetroot and radishes. They're going in the pots the tomatoes were in - reusing the compost (sieved).

Hadn't thought of carrots. Will give them a try in sieved compost in pots.

I've just sown rocket, salad spinach and ruby chard in the border.

In modules I sowed Seeds of Italy Misticanza, red and green c&ca lettuce mix, Pan di Zucchero chicory, pak choi, corn salad and T&M Oriental salad leaves mix.

With a bit of luck that'll see me in greens through the winter

I've got 'winter lettuce' and kale seedling ready to go in my GH border once the toms have finished.

Have sown rocket, land cress and red kale and plan to sow mustard leaf, mizuna and mixed leaf.

I'm thinking some mixed oriental greens and rocket, as well as the physalis that's already in there, but I may be running a little late.

It's my first year with a greenhouse, and I'm still figuring out what to do with it!

Giant winter spinach

I grow giant winter spinach very successfully over the winter. Also, perpetual spinach too.

I'll be going down to the lottie today to start sowing. A few weeks good weather might give them a decent head start
