Advice on polytunnel suppliers

Hi there

We recently acquired an additional small plot on our allotment site and are looking to erect a polytunnel on the space. We are restricted to a size of 4m x 2m and are looking for a tunnel with solid sturdy posts. Can anyone recommend a supplier. We are not looking for the cheapest but the best value option. Thanks in advance

I originally thought to recommend these people https://fivestarpolytunnels.co.uk/ as very helpful and really good quality.

However, I reread your post and realised that your space is actually too small for any of their kits. In the space you have most people would be putting up what's called a blow away and the clue is in the name. Hopefully, someone will be able to recommend a sturdy one but in the meantime I wondered if you couldn't consider building your own - couple/3 hoops well sunk in, top bar, struts and dug in polythene could be really sturdy. Net on the doorway for ventilation. Five star sell the individual bits and cut polythene to size.

Alternatively a small second hand green house might be a better option, giving you roof ventilation. I think a lot will depend on what you want to grow in there.

Mine's 6'x12', so about the same size. It was from First Tunnels, and it's lasted really well. I put it up in 2013, it cost about £400.

My 10' x 20' one is from First Tunnels and is brilliant. I know you wanted something smaller but they do other sizes so may have something to suit. Definitely get a proper one if you can not a blowaway as they're too flimsy to be of much use and if you're replacing regularly then it's not good value.
