Well cats on a greenhouse roof actually. I have four cats. I made the mistake of taking teenage children with me to the rescue centre when I wanted a feral cat and came home with three kittens, then daughter left home, homed a kitten and later returned home to live. Anyway, when I am in the greenhouse the cats like to clamber over the roof and as they are quite large I am slightly worried that one day they will fall through. Any thoughts on how to deter them?

In a similar sort of position, my neighbours cats climb on everything (and I have kids) so have wondered how to minimise any incidents if I can't stop them. Have thought about putting sellotape on all glass world war 2 style so at least if it does break it shouldn't shatter over everything. But then don't know how well sellotape will cope in heat when the glass warms up.412% of statistics are made up.

The cats jump from the ground onto the roof of the greenhouse. They also use my fruit trees as a cat version of Go Ape, leaping from tree to tree. I also have a golden retriever who deliberately jumps against the fruit trees so that he can steal the fruit that falls. It is me against the mob!

As plants in greenhouses can benefit from some shading, I was wondering if draping some debris netting over the roof would deter cats.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
