Lean to greenhouse

I am looking at putting up a greenhouse and the only possibility is a lean to with an east/west aspect. Would north facing work?

How open is it to the east and west? Will it catch the sun from those sides?

When I first bought my house I inherited a lean to on a north facing wall, I am told by the neighbours that it was used with success, but I dismantled it as it was falling to bits and never used it myself.

Unfortunately it will only get the sun from the east and then on the shor† side. I was thinking of a lean to because it would be out of the way. I can put up a conventional which will get both sun from both east and south.
