  • Essential oils in the greenhouse?

anyone ever tried to use essential oils in the greenhouse to combat pest and dieseases?

I've just got an essential oil diffuser for the house, and it seems to work great for stopping colds and sniffles in there tracks

I wonder if you diffused some oils known for there anti fungal, or insect repellent properties it would help in the greenhouse?

In fact I'm going to try it, the diffusers are so cheap, and the oils last a long time

I read that oil of cloves deters ants . I cheated and just sprinkled some ground cloves around. It seems to have worked but I have a lot of spiders about the size of a 20 pence coin. I think they are good in the greenhouse but I am not sure .

You can use neem oil, diluted, as an insect repellent and insecticide. I have some that I purchased earlier in the year with a view to spraying my fruit trees over winter as well as using in the polytunnel later in the year.
No idea how effective the diffuser would be though, still, the greenhouse will smell great
