  • Do you listen to anything else other than birdsong?

Whilst in my potting shed listening to the birds chirruping away in my garden and enjoying their birdsong, sometimes i also play some of my favorite Garden playlists- particulary when pricking out seedlings- a job i love but as we all know can be quite time consuming. Here are my top three favs - hope you enjoy them as much as me. If you do listen to music whilst gardening-do you have any favs you'd like to share too

The birdsong, the rustling of the leaves, the trickling of water and the murmuring of insects is all the music I need in the garden.
      Each to their own

Nice enough melodies but I prefer to listen to the footy on Radio Newcastle or the football phone in.

I have taken to reading a book and listening to birdsong whilst sitting on my parkl bench at the allotment after work.

I have one book I read each night which is next to my bed and one book in the summerhouse which i read a chapter or two of after i've finished pottering at the plot!

              Sorry Nicos -
If you really want to listen you could go direct to youtube and type in Secret Garden Poeme- hope that helps- I really love music of all genre's and love to be introduced and hear music that I have not heard before - I lost my hearing for a time due to an infection it was the most scariest time- so I can't get enough of ALL sounds now and make sure I listen to as much as i can- really makes you appreciate life from a different perspective!

Here we're having a very good summer for tree crickets that start in the evening and sing all through the night.

Like V.C. just the sounds in my garden. Love the peacefullness of it.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

My plot's right next to a busy urban footpath, I like overhearing people explain to their kids what allotments are, or say to their friends how nice it would be to have a plot. I also like to hear the hum of the traffic while I'm in my own little paradise. Sometimes I hear the roar of the crowds watching the rugby at Murrayfield stadium.

not sure it qualifies as bird song but hardly a day goes by without the haunting cry of the buzzards circling overhead.

if the sounds of venom came into my garden it would swiftly be silenced by the crash of a shotgun obliterating the source.
