There's a knitting machine table leaning against the wall too.
No need for either now .

      There's quite a few varieties - some completely new to me. I might have missed one or two but I've planted;

      Gigantomo F1
      Big daddy
      Giant tree
      Montecarlo F1
      Romanesco
      Marmande Superprecoce
      St. Pierre
      Sub artic plenty
      Ukranian Purple
      Omars Lebanese
      Mortgage lifter
      Speckled Roman
Red / black / golden cherry

The larger ones will likely struggle a little unless we get a really good summer. We give a lot away in the past but now that the honesty box is up and running (and working) we might try and sell a few at the gate too.

Plan to grow beans up these. Structures still not perfect yet but it will create a ‘porchway’ entrance of veg as we have a 2 foot steel beam sticking out where we made the greenhouse smaller than it was. This will hopefully create a nice shady area.

Yellow flowers appearing on sun gold. Will let this grow up the cane then attach to a crossover steel structure of the greenhouse frame.

Last photo before the pots of flowers are planted out and the Tomatoes go in. Winter/Spring has been quite productive.

I took a few photos inside my new poly-tunnel yesterday. Some of the plants have been there for some time and I built the tunnel round them. In theory I will be moving ones like the roses out next Winter.

                      • June already!

The greenhouse is a bit less crowded now that a lot of things have gone outside, but there's still plenty happening. The tomatoes and peppers are flowering merrily and setting their first fruits; the cucumbers and melons are about ready to go into their final pots. I'm not sure what to do with my overflow chrysanthemums though. Maybe I'll find somewhere to stand them outside but I'm running out of room there too.

                          • 30 degrees could be a danger of growing ready cooked veg here.

On the left, a Maskotka tom in a hanging pot with broad beans underneath, two Ildi toms, and two cucumbers at the far end. All interplanted with marigolds (yet to flower).

On the right, onions in the far corner, the last of the Spring greens, just sown basil in the mini mini raised bed, a dahlia, a Harlequin squash, and some parsley (just visible!). Two Tumbler toms in the baskets.
