Are the Flatties sticky and slimy?

From the article Bacchus posted:

"Covered in sticky mucus, the flat-shaped invader has seriously decreased the local population of earthworms who have a crucial role to play in maintaining soil fertility.

This bit caught my eye:

An unwelcome visitor that our country can ill-afford
The flatworms wrap their body around their prey, liquefy them with digestive juices and ingest that through a tube on their underside.

Thanks Kelvin for bringing that to me attention - and my apologies to Bacchus for not reading the article - and to Muck Lover for raising hopes wrongly. (Can I stop grovelling now?)

Doesn't sound very appealing to a chook or to anyone in fact. If rhey ingest their prey through a tube on the underside, I wonder how they "outgest" them.

It’s ok. I really enjoy grinding these creatures into a paste. I have a zillion woodlice in the polytunnel so when the happy day comes and I get chickens I will feed them to my feathered girls.
I’m not recommending this but apparently humans can eat woodlice too.... they are supposed to be related to prawns and shrimps of all things. Anyone for paella?
