Ball Head Cabbage

Decided to weigh this ball head cabbage this morning, after taking the leaves off. A very impressive (I think so anyway) 3.3Kg (that's 7.2 lbs in old currency!). It's is now hanging in the shed waiting to be eaten.

Nice one, what is it and when did you sow it?

Here's a couple of mine.

The first one is a Spring Cabbage that is still in the ground, not sure the photo captures its true size. I haven't had the heart to take it out and have just been using the summer cabbages.

It is a "Langedijk" cabbage, sown in around March in pots, and kept indoors before hardening off and planting out in May.
