  • Dwarf french beans

I have been harvesting dwarf french beans regularly. I would like to save some seed for next year and have two questions.

    1. Is it possible to know how long the beans will keep cropping for? I haven't seen any new flowers but is this because there are still beans to pick? Beans were sown in July. Variety is Acquilon if anyone is interested.

    2. When saving bean seed do u save from only one plant that you haven't harvested from? I haven't isolated any plants and tend to save seed from the leftovers beans. Is there really a difference in quality that anyone has noticed?

They will be slowing down now so there'll be less (if any) flowers to turn into beans. I'd pick any beans that are ready to use and let some go to seed and it won't matter which plant you harvest from.
I work very hard so please don't expect me to think as well!
